"Ron and I presented David with rather a long list of constraints and requirements when we asked him to build our horse barn. For example, the site was limited in space, with the house on one side and an arroyo on the other, and we did not want our view to be compromised. We wanted the building to function effectively as a horse barn, while at the same time to have the possibility of being reconfigured as a guest house or studio if some future buyer might not have need of a barn. We had to meet all the requirements of our subdivision's restrictions and we wanted an attractive building, as it would be visible from the house. Finally, we had budget limitations. David met every requirement. We have a beautiful barn; the horses are happy, and so are we.
