Gallery: Green Building
In keeping with High Mountain Home's commitment to the environment and energy conservation, David employs sun tempered designs and deep shaded portals as well as recycled wood studs and vigas and natural products such as earth plaster and travertine stone. In some cases the entire construction project is devoted to the use of an alternative building material that has environmentally superior qualities two of these materials are PolySteel and Rastra, both of which are manufactured locally.

An active member of the Home Builders Association of Central New Mexcio, David was one of the first Albuquerque home builders to be involved in the Building America program which emphasizes energy efficiency, advanced framing techniques, and superior insulating methods. Using the guidelines from this program he strives to build homes that use 300h to 50% less energy.
